Cracking Eggs are a four-piece rock band from the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, merging the exploratory spirit of 1970s psychedelia with the raw edge of ’90s grunge. Their sound is both polished and punchy — tight arrangements, hook-driven songs, and a fearless live presence.
Formed over 12 months ago, the band features Lachlan (vocals & keyboards), Mason (guitar), Murphy (drums), and Will (bass). Despite their young age, Cracking Eggs write predominantly original material, putting their own stamp on classic rock foundations while occasionally reworking standards with a distinctly modern twist.
Known for their fun, cheeky, and rebellious personality, Cracking Eggs lean into old-school rock ’n’ roll attitude without taking themselves too seriously. Their live shows balance musicianship with energy, creating performances that feel authentic, loud, and exciting.
The band has already built strong momentum on the local scene, performing at venues and events including Rye Football Club, the Peninsula Surfriders after party, school fundraisers, and numerous backyard shows. Their standout performance at the Peninsula Surfriders event saw them supported and praised by established local acts in attendance, with musicians and audiences alike taking notice of their confidence and originality.
Cracking Eggs are now focused on playing more live shows, recording their original material, and working toward festival appearances as they continue to grow their sound and audience.
